Li-Hsin Huang, MM (she/her/hers)
Li-Hsin Huang was born in Taiwan, where she started her musical training at the age of eight. After earning her Bachelor degree in cello performance in University of Taipei, Ms. Li-Hsin came to the United States to continue her studies at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). She earned her master degree, and currently she is pursuing her doctoral degree at CCM. Her mentors include Ilya Finkelshteyn (the principal cellist in Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra) and Amit Even-Tov (the cellist of the Ariel Quartet). Li-Hsin was the winner of cello concerto competition at CCM, and played Elgar cello concerto with the CCM Concert Orchestra. She also performed in masterclasses for Wen-Shin Yang, Paul Katz, and Steven Isserlis.
As an experienced and committed teacher, Li-Hsin has more than 4 years’ professional teaching experience and enjoys working with students at all ages. As a teacher, Li-Hsin seeks to inspire her students to work towards their potential, including beginners, professionals, and amateurs. She nurtures the love of music and emphasizes the importance of good playing techniques within a broad scope of repertoire.
